It's basically a personality quiz mashup that asks you and your partner a bunch of questions, then spits out a "love score" percentage. The app first launched back in 2018 and is available on both the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store. On Google Play, it's been downloaded over 500,000 times, which is pretty decent for a niche app. It's completely free to download, and you can start using it without any registration, which is a big plus. That said, there are optional in-app purchases for things like removing ads or unlocking extra question packs, and yeah, there are in-app ads that pop up every now and then.

Using the app is pretty straightforward. You download and install it from the Google Play Store, then you and your partner take turns answering questions about your relationship or just general preferences. My tip would be to do it together in person rather than separately because half the fun is the awkward laughter when you both disagree on something. Don't take the score too seriously though - it's more of a conversation starter than a scientific tool.

I tried a few other love test apps before settling on this one. Apps like Love Calculator and Couple Game are similar, but I chose Love Tester Find Real Love over them because it feels less robotic. Cons

  • 👎 The in-app ads are annoying. They pop up right when you're reading the results, breaking the mood. Love Calculator doesn't have as many intrusive ads, which is frustrating since this app is otherwise better.
  • 👎 You can't skip the question animations. Each question has this slow fade-in effect that wastes time. Couple Game lets you tap to skip all the fluff and go straight to the next question, which is much faster.
  • 👎 No multiplayer mode for long-distance couples. The app assumes you're sitting next to each other passing the phone back and forth. Apps like Love Test Pro let two people take the test from different devices and compare scores online, which would be way more useful.
